The job
Keep a useful daily tool maintained. Export Markdown from the editor to PDF or HTML, with syntax highlighting, Mermaid diagrams, KaTeX maths, and workspace-local includes.
The engineering decision
Render locally rather than sending document content to an export service. Sanitize rendered HTML and keep file references within the workspace by default. Mermaid diagrams also render locally.
The limits
PDF export needs a separately installed Chrome, Chromium, or Microsoft Edge browser. HTML export does not. Inline style elements are blocked; use a trusted local stylesheet for custom styling. Local rendering does not make externally linked content offline.
